Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous oxide is a mild form of sedation that we provide in our practice. This sedative is administered as a gas that is inhaled through a small mask secured over the patient’s nose during their treatment. The gas begins working quickly and remains efficient throughout the entire visit, only losing its effect after the mask is removed.

The amnesiac effect allows patients to feel less anxious as they will have no recollection of the procedure while it is being performed and after it is complete. Patients opting for this form of sedation will need a friend or family member to drive them home once their appointment is complete.
